Custom medal logistics
Custom medal shipping cost and delivery time.
Choose between express, air and sea shipping—and send the five details a factory needs to calculate a useful freight quote.

Samples and small orders usually travel by international express. Medium urgent orders can be compared by express and air freight. Heavy bulk orders may be more economical by sea when the deadline allows. For a useful estimate, send the quantity, medal size, packing method, destination postcode and required arrival date.
Plan the complete schedule
Delivery time includes more than transit.
A carrier’s “five business days” normally begins after the packed order has been collected. A custom medal schedule starts earlier and may also include customs clearance after the international journey.
Tell us the date the medals must arrive, not only the date you hope they will ship. We can work backward through approval, production and transport and show whether the schedule has a safe buffer.
Shipping methods
Express, air or sea: which one fits your order?
International express
Usually 3–8 business days*
Best for samples, smaller orders and projects that need simple door-to-door tracking. It is convenient, but the cost rises as total weight increases.
Choose it when:- You are approving a physical sample
- The order is relatively small
- The event date is close
Air freight
Usually 5–12 business days*
Useful for medium, heavier orders that cannot wait for sea freight. Confirm whether the quote is airport-to-airport or includes clearance and delivery to your address.
Choose it when:- Express has become expensive
- The shipment is too urgent for sea freight
- You have a broker or request door delivery
Sea freight
Main journey often 20–45 days*
Often suitable for large, heavy orders with enough planning time. Small shipments can still attract fixed port, clearance and final-delivery charges.
Choose it when:- The order is large and heavy
- The arrival date has enough buffer
- The complete landed cost is lower
*General transit references after dispatch. The route, carrier capacity, customs, holidays, weather and final delivery area can change the actual time.
What changes the quote
Why the same medal quantity can have a different shipping cost.
A metal medal is dense. A carton may look compact while still being heavy. Gift boxes can add both weight and volume, so the product specification and packing plan matter.
- Medal size and thicknessLarger and thicker pieces increase total weight.
- Ribbon and accessoriesRibbons, clips and inserts add weight to every unit.
- Individual packingPoly bags, presentation boxes and display cases change the carton plan.
- Destination postcodeCountry, city and remote-area rules affect the service and price.
- Import serviceDuties, taxes, clearance and final delivery may or may not be included.
- Season and capacityFuel surcharges and busy periods can change a current freight quote.
One choice that affects the total
Does the quote include import duty?
Transport to the named destination
We arrange transport to the agreed place. The buyer normally handles import clearance, duty and local import tax.
Duty-paid delivery where available
The available service is quoted to include the agreed import clearance, duty or tax and delivery scope. Some countries may still require the recipient’s tax number, identification or authorization.
Please quote both DAP and DDP shipping if available.DDP is not available for every destination or shipment. The quotation should state the named destination and exactly what is included, so the buyer can compare the complete cost rather than the freight line alone.
Get a useful freight estimate
Send these five details with your inquiry.
Before the product and packing are confirmed, freight is an estimate. The final packed carton count, dimensions and gross weight allow a more accurate check before dispatch.
Avoid preventable delays
Most shipping delays begin with missing information.
- Artwork or packing changes after the schedule is agreed
- An incomplete address, postcode or telephone number
- Customs information or a tax number supplied too late
- Import charges left unpaid after the carrier contacts the recipient
- Customs inspection, bad weather, peak season or local holidays
- An arrival date with no contingency before the event

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers before you request a quote.
How long does it take to ship custom medals from China?
As a general estimate after carrier pickup, international express often takes 3–8 business days, air freight about 5–12 business days including normal handling, and the main sea journey about 20–45 days. Production and possible customs delays are additional.
When can the final shipping cost be confirmed?
We can estimate from the quantity, medal size, packing and destination postcode. A more accurate charge is confirmed from the final carton count, dimensions and gross weight.
Is sea freight always the cheapest option?
No. Small sea shipments can attract fixed origin, port, clearance and final-delivery charges. Express is often more practical for samples and smaller orders.
Can Extra Dream ship to my own freight forwarder?
Yes. Send the forwarder’s warehouse address, contact person and receiving instructions during the quotation stage.
Can you confirm whether the medals will arrive before my event?
Send the artwork, quantity, packing requirement, destination postcode and required arrival date. We will review approval, production and transport together before confirming whether the schedule is workable.
